Premise:

“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own.

My thoughts:
(review originally written on January 23rd, 2013)

Gosh! I loved this book so much! I'm grinning and giggling like a crazy person! It was one of the most fun reads I have had in a while. I absolutely loved Dash, he's so smart and sarcastic and funny even when he's not trying and overall he's pretty authentic. But the one that truly got to my heart was Boomer! Oh Jeez! He made me laugh so hard! He is like a little puppy, I just want to hug him!

Lily... at first I didn't like her that much because I'm usually not into those kinds of female protagonist, too good for me to relate I think. But then she improves, she starts taking risks and living life a little and I admire her for that.

I loved the idea of the red notebook and two stranger who are almost nothing alike but they understand each other like no one else could. It was heartwarming and funny and witty and... really, even if here where I live is mid January which equals to a weather so hot that you can barely get out of your house without melting, I could easily picture the whole winter break scene and Christmas lights and everything. Great work authors!

I heard rummors about this book being turned into a movie soon... I wouldn't miss it for the world!
